At Everblock Hire, we believe in the power of creativity, hands-on learning, and community engagement. Recently, we had the pleasure of supporting a vibrant community event at the Central Library in Croydon, Surrey, by supplying our versatile Everblock modular building blocks.
The event was organised by the Arts and Cultural Department at the library, in collaboration with local schools, to promote interactive STEM and STEAM learning through play. Over the course of one week, children, families, and even adults had the opportunity to build, create, and explore using our large-scale, colourful Everblocks.
What We Supplied
For this project, we provided approximately three pallets of Everblock units, featuring:
Four different block types: Full blocks, half blocks, quarter blocks, and line blocks
A mix of vibrant colours including red, green, blue, black, white, grey, and purple
A Hands-On Learning Experience
The event was not only fun but educational. The Everblock structures became a learning tool for local schools focusing on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and STEAM (adding Arts) education.
Children experienced concepts of design, balance, problem-solving, and teamwork, all while enjoying a tactile, collaborative experience.
The modular design of Everblock makes it ideal for temporary educational setups. Teachers and organisers used the blocks to demonstrate engineering principles, foster creativity, and encourage participation across age groups.
